An infertile sire can impact productivity significantly and result in extended calving periods. A full assessment of your breeding bull should be carried out at least two months prior to your breeding season.
We will inspect the whole animal, including their feet, with a thorough examination of the testes, penis and prepuce. We will also do a fertility exam by collecting a semen sample via electro-ejaculator or artificial vagina if appropriate. We will check the sample under the microscope for quality and motility to ensure that your breeding sires are not infertile or sub-fertile.
